I have among my quirks the need to read books by a particular author in the order in which they were written. I find it helps me know and love the characters, and to follow their growth, or lack thereof. I was introduced to a terrific website that lists authors and/or their characters alphabetically. This is an awesome site. Sadly, I have already read many of the series of books that are actually available in print, and those that I haven't are almost impossible to get from my college library. But that is what summer is for...
